OUTLOOK
The Vaqueros have finished second in the league the last two years with some of the best talent in the county. But this year, there are no excuses if they fail to win the title. Rancho Alamitos is really loaded. The entire offensive backfield returns, with speedster Brown at quarterback; tailback Byrd, who tied for the county rushing championship with 1,492 yards, and fullback Vickers, who is being recruited by several colleges as a linebacker. Starks, Harman and Vickers lead the defense.
