Twelve people were injured, eight of them hospitalized, after a pickup truck collided with an RTD bus in South Los Angeles, a transit agency spokesman said Thursday.
The accident occurred at 8:34 p.m. Wednesday as a pickup truck with a camper shell backed out of a driveway near 62nd Street and Vermont Avenue, directly into the path of an oncoming bus, said RTD spokesman Rick Jaeger.
Four people were treated at the scene, but eight others, including the truck driver, were taken to hospitals for treatment, Jaeger said. The injured complained of neck, back and chest pains, and one suffered a knee injury.
