Eric Clapton Delivers a Good Show Too

Regarding “Saturday Night’s All Right for an Understated Elton” (Aug. 31): It should read as follows, “Saturday Night’s All Right for an Understated Eric”!
I was appalled that Richard Cromelin totally ignored the fantastic performance that Eric Clapton delivered with the greatest of ease. He failed to mention the heart-wrenching performance of “Tears in Heaven,” which Clapton dedicated to his late son, Connor. Second, Cromelin failed to mention the undeniably marvelous rendition of “Layla.”
Cromelin also did not mention any of the terrific musicians in Clapton’s band. Nathan East is a wonderful bass guitarist and Peggy Cazoon a wonderful backup vocalist! Please give credit where it is due. I, someday, would like to see Clapton return to Los Angeles!
