An art and design competition is being sponsored by the L.A. Millenium Project, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to improving public spaces in central Los Angeles.
The 13-week event is open to students attending Cal State L.A., the Art Center, Otis Parsons School of Design, Cal Poly Pomona, Southern California Institute of Architecture, USC and UCLA.
The subject of the competition is a development proposal for 22 acres near the L.A. Convention Center. The grand prize winner will receive $10,000; first place, $6,000 and second place, $4,000.
