Under the state Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, Ventura County must report each week the toxic and potentially toxic materials discharged. The discharges are investigated by the county Environmental Health Division. DATE: Sept. 4 LOCATION: 3401 Big Springs Ave., Simi Valley MATERIAL: 3 gallons of paint DATE: Sept. 14 LOCATION: 2031 San Jose St., Oxnard MATERIAL: 3,000 gallons of waste water DATE: Sept. 15 LOCATION: Ventura Freeway south of Lynn Road, Thousand Oaks MATERIAL: 50 gallons of diesel fuel DATE: Sept. 16 LOCATION: Los Angeles Avenue and Sycamore Drive, Simi Valley MATERIAL: Unknown amount of hydraulic fluid DATE: Sept. 17 LOCATION: Live Oaks Street and Los Robles Road, Thousand Oaks MATERIAL: 10 gallons of diesel fuel
