Rites for Unionist Ross

A memorial service for union activist Fred Ross, who died Sunday at 82, will be held Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Delancey Street Foundation, 600 Embarcadero at Brannan in San Francisco.
Contributions in his name can be made to Neighbor to Neighbor, 2601 Mission St., Room 400, San Francisco 94110. Funds will be used to complete his writings and film a documentary of his life.
