SAN FERNANDO : Forum to Focus on School Redistricting

A public forum on the effect of the Los Angeles school redistricting plan on the Latino community will be held today in the city of San Fernando.
The Mexican American Education Commission will facilitate the forum, which will focus on the effect of the redistricting plan on children’s education and on parents’ participation in the schools, said Joe Flores, chairman of the commission, which works with the school district.
Issues will be raised and information will be presented by various organizations.
The forum will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at San Fernando Middle School, 130 N. Brand Blvd., Flores said.
