COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Two Score Hat Tricks in Irvine Valley Victory

Jeff Rynders and Keith Rosenberg each had three goals as host Irvine Valley defeated Cypress, 8-4, Tuesday in an Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer match.

Irvine Valley improved to 6-2-3, 2-1. Harold Salazar had 10 saves for Cypress.

In another Orange Empire Conference match:

Fullerton 2, Orange Coast 0--Alberto Verduzco and Martin Wall each scored for Fullerton (6-3-3, 2-1) at Orange Coast (4-3-1, 1-1).

In Orange Empire Conference women’s soccer:

Orange Coast 5, Golden West 0--Jill Johnson had two goals and one assist, all in the first half, for host Orange Coast (2-4-2, 1-1-1). Dana Ferdinand had 18 saves for Golden West (1-7, 0-4).

Irvine Valley 4, Palomar 2--Renee Cano had two goals for Irvine Valley (5-5-1, 2-1) in its victory over Palomar.
