Who’s Doing What: Cast members from “Murphy Brown” and “Phantom of the Opera” will play an abbreviated game of Monopoly at a Power Breakfast Oct. 19 from 8-10 a.m. at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel to benefit Santa Monica/Malibu Meals on Wheels. . . . Actors Denzel Washington, Rhea Perlman, A Martinez and news anchor Pat Harvey will be among celebrities honoring five Los Angeles-area students for their accomplishments at a “Beat the Odds” celebration this evening at Sony Pictures Studios. The event raises funds for Children’s Defense Fund scholarships and the organization’s on-going efforts on behalf of children’s rights.
