LEISURE READING: Residents of Seal Beach’s Leisure World have shown they care about the young. When Leisure World resident Susan Dodson heard that a fourth-grade class in Paramount was short of books and had no encyclopedias, she mentioned it in the community newsletter. . . . The result: More than 100 books donated, plus four sets of encyclopedias. “People were very generous,” Dodson says. “I knew they’d respond.”
