Hughes Team Gets $2.5-Million Contract

Hughes Missile Systems, a Canoga Park-based unit of General Motors Corp., said its team received a $2.5-million contract from the Army Missile Command in Alabama to study missile systems.
The Hughes team, which includes Texas Instruments Inc. and Campbell Engineering, said the eight-month study contract is part of the Army’s preparation for a missile system that will consist of TV- or infrared-guided missiles launched from a vehicle.
