Guard Fat Lever, who has skipped nine of the Dallas Mavericks’ first 10 practices, said he doesn’t expect to play for the team this season because of swelling in his knees. Of the seven other backcourt players in Maverick camp, only Derek Harper has more than one year of NBA experience.
