Pacific Telesis Group, parent company of California’s largest telephone company, Pacific Bell, reported a third-quarter profit of $277 million, virtually flat with the $275 million recorded in the year-ago period. Revenue for the quarter totaled $2.51 billion, compared to the $2.50 billion posted the year before.
