Elton Plays Hard Ball: Rock singer Elton John is suing the producers of “Hard Copy” for slander, alleging that a reporter for that TV show claimed John moved to Atlanta to be near an AIDS treatment center. The suit, which seeks at least $35 million in damages and a restraining order against the producers, was filed in Fulton County (Ga.) Superior Court. John’s attorneys claim a “Hard Copy” reporter used a helicopter to spy on him at his Atlanta home and threatened to run a negative story about him if he did not agree to an interview.
