Simi Valley 38, Agoura 21--The Pioneers scored 38 unanswered points, including 24 in the fourth quarter, to erase a 21-0 deficit at Agoura.

The Chargers (3-4, 1-3) self-destructed in the second half, committing four turnovers to give Simi Valley excellent field position. The Pioneers (4-3, 2-2) began all their second-half possessions in Charger territory.

Simi Valley defensive back David Quitazol returned an interception 57 yards for one touchdown and also recovered a fumble to set up a 25-yard pass from Eric Bennett to Tom Herman for the go-ahead score with 9:54 to play.

After a slow start in which he completed just two of 13 passes for 16 yards, Bennett came on strong to finish with 15 completions in 31 attempts for 214 yards and two touchdowns.

Simi Valley fullback Jevon Markarian rushed for 76 yards in 25 carries, including a pair of one-yard scoring runs.
