Strong Rise in GNP Reported: China’s gross national product rose to $314 billion between January and September, an increase of 10.6% over the same 1991 period, the State Statistical Bureau said. “Overall, economic performance is showing fast production, fast growth of demand and better circulation,” said Zhang Zhongji, a bureau spokesman.
