Wife Says Quayle Would Be Good Leader for U.S.

WASHINGTON — Vice President Dan Quayle’s wife, Marilyn, said Monday that her husband would be good for the country as President.
Asked on CNN’s “Larry King Live” whether she wanted her husband to be President some day, Mrs. Quayle said: “I’m not sure I need it, but I think he would be good for the country.”
She said she believed Quayle was a frequent target of attack because “he’s young, he’s smart, he’s able and he’s conservative. So he’s not politically correct.”
