BANNING — An earthquake measuring magnitude 3.1 rattled windows in this desert town Saturday. There were no reports of damage or injuries.
The temblor occurred at 7:53 a.m. about four miles northwest of Banning, said Stef Donev, a spokesman for Caltech in Pasadena.
Donev said it was an aftershock to the June 28 Landers quake, which killed one person and caused millions of dollars in damage.
