ANAHEIM — A Perris man who was lying in traffic lanes Saturday night on West La Palma Avenue was killed when struck by a passing car, police said.
The driver told police she was driving on the Santa Ana Freeway overpass in the 2100 block of West La Palma Avenue about 9:45 p.m. when her car hit something in the roadway, which she thought was a cardboard box. She stopped and discovered that she had run over a man, said Sgt. Harold Parkison.
The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of relatives.
The driver was not cited and police are investigating the incident, Parkison said.
