Whittier Christian’s Meschuk Runs for 262 Yards, 2 Scores

ONTARIO — Aaron Meschuk rushed for 262 yards in 36 carries and scored two touchdowns to help Whittier Christian defeat Ontario Christian, 20-7, Friday night in an Olympic League game at Ontario High School.
Whittier Christian got on the board quickly, scoring on their second possession of the first quarter. Meschuk ran in from seven yards out, capping a seven-play, 45-yard drive to give the Heralds a 6-0 lead with 2:20 left to play in the first quarter.
But Ontario took a 7-6 lead on a 28-yard touchdown run by Micaiah White, which capped a five-play 67-yard drive with 4 minutes 2 seconds left in the half.
Whittier Christian regained the lead for good two minutes later as Chad Callahan connected with Jon Habben on 36-yard pass play to make it 12-7.
The Heralds added to their lead on the final score of the game as Meschuk ran the ball in from 57 yards out and added a run for the two-point conversion.
