Crespi 28, St. John Bosco 13--Quarterback Matt Walker passed for three touchdowns and ran for a fourth as the Celts (7-3, 2-3) kept their playoff hopes alive at Pierce College.
With Crespi leading, 14-13, in the fourth quarter, Walker connected with Anthony Cavalluzzi on a 74-yard touchdown pass. Crespi put the game away after Mike Friedl recovered a fumble at the St. John Bosco 32-yard line with 9:37 to play. Eight plays later, Walker passed 13 yards to Eric Cuaresma for a touchdown.
Crespi had to overcome 15 penalties for 166 yards. St. John Bosco was called for 12 infractions for 85 yards.
Walker, a senior, completed 11 of 16 attempts for 214 yards. Running back Torie Lee led the Crespi ground game, gaining 70 yards in 19 carries.
