JAMUL — Two men who died in a parking lot were identified Saturday by the medical examiner’s office.
Fernando Rodriguez, 21, of San Diego and Felix Beltran, 23, from Los Angeles died of gunshot wounds Friday night in the parking lot of a convenience store near Steele Canyon Road and California 94.
The driver of an Acura Legend drove into the parking lot around 6 p.m. looking for help for his passengers, Rodriguez and Beltran, who apparently had been shot during an argument that occurred several miles from the store, sheriff’s deputies said.
The name of the driver was not released Saturday and deputies said details of the shooting were still unclear.
