N. Korea Returns Ex-Premier to Post

SEOUL — North Korea on Friday replaced Prime Minister Yon Hyong Muk with a veteran former prime minister, Kang Song San, the official Korean Central News Agency said.
The move, regarded by some in South Korea as a further step toward consolidating heir apparent Kim Jong Il’s power base, came at a meeting in Pyongyang of the Supreme People’s Assembly, the Stalinist state’s rubber-stamp parliament.
