In the third-place game of the El Dorado Co-Ed tournament:
Sunny Hills 71, El Dorado 50--Kevin Garand’s three-point basket late in the second quarter sparked the Lancers to victory.
In the third quarter, Sunny Hills (2-4) took advantage of El Dorado’s turnovers and missed shots, and outscored the Golden Hawks, 18-6, to take control of the game.
“Our rebounds sparked us and we handled the pressure better in the second half,” Sunny Hills Coach Steve White said.
Garand scored 19 points, including three three-point baskets. Andy Hinkle scored 13 points and had seven rebounds for El Dorado (1-4).
