Quit Pickin’ on Tommy----He Is Too Funny!

Will someone please stop Howard Rosenberg from reviewing situation comedies? He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. His dismal review of the new Tom Arnold show is the latest case in point. Howard, wake up! The show was good. It made people laugh.
Rosenberg refuses to accept the fact that comedy, like people, comes in all shapes and sizes. Among other things, it can be silly, sophisticated, crass, satirical, witty, gross or poignant. One shouldn’t judge the type of comedy, only its execution. And that’s where Rosenberg falls short. He doesn’t understand comedy well enough to know whether it’s been crafted well or not. Do us a favor and get him off the case.
