The Ventura County Chapter of the American Red Cross has selected a longtime volunteer to serve as its new director of emergency services.
Mike Goth of Ventura was picked from more than 70 applicants to direct the nonprofit agency’s emergency services, replacing former director Martharuth Lefever, who resigned, officials said.
As a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Human Resources System, Goth was assigned to relief operations for the Humboldt County earthquake and Hurricane Iniki in Hawaii earlier this year.
Richard Rink of Camarillo has been named chapter program manager, which is a new position.
