VAN NUYS : Airport Parking Lot May Soon Be Full

Van Nuys Airport officials warned Friday that the parking lot for the FlyAway bus service from Van Nuys to the Los Angeles International Airport may fill up with Christmastime travelers as early as this weekend and suggest that bus riders arrange to be dropped off at the lot.
The FlyAway bus service makes 98 scheduled trips to and from LAX each day. Round-trip fares are $6 for adults and $3.50 for children. The FlyAway lot has 2,325 parking spaces and charges $1 per day for parking.
An additional 300 parking spaces will be added by next spring, said Ronald J. Kochevar, Van Nuys Airport manager.
