Crime Summit

A Clinton crime summit should follow the footpath of the Clinton economics summit. Security guards, alarms and steel bars burden businesses as well as the health care costs outlined at the economics summit.
While politicians have talked about fighting crime, the shootings, robberies and fear rise year after year. The American people deserve a stated goal to reduce crime such as a 25% reduction over four years.
A crime summit would help forge long- and short-term plans to meet the goal. Discussion at a summit should include constitutional reform to strengthen the hand of the law, judicial reform to speed prosecution and adoption of the profit center concept with prisons to reduce the burden on the taxpayer.
