PREP SOCCER ROUNDUP : No. 2 Santa Ana, No. 6 Ocean View Tie to Remain Unbeaten in Sunset

Ocean View and Santa Ana, two of the top six boys’ soccer teams in Orange County, played to a 2-2 overtime tie in a Sunset League game Wednesday at Ocean View.
Chad Lawson scored the tying goal with 12 minutes remaining for sixth-ranked Ocean View (12-2-1, 3-0-1 in league). Jorge Perez scored twice for No. 2 Santa Ana (10-1-4), 3-0-2).
In Century League boys’ soccer:
Orange 1, Canyon 0--Edward Rodriguez scored for Orange (9-4-4, 1-1) at Canyon (9-4-3, 0-1).
Foothill 5, Villa Park 4--Rick Boyes scored the winning goal with a minute remaining by deflecting a direct kick from teammate Steven Patterson for host Foothill (10-3-2, 2-0).
Santa Ana Valley 4, El Modena 1--Sophomore forward Francisco Islas, who has 18 goals for the season, scored three goals for fourth-ranked Santa Ana Valley (13-2, 1-0).
In the Empire League:
El Dorado 2, Los Alamitos 0--Sophomores Matt Swan and James Ramos assisted each other’s goals for El Dorado.
In the Freeway League:
Troy 4, Buena Park 0--Jason Dailey scored the first of his three goals with a minute left in the first half for Troy (9-4-3, 1-1).
In the Garden Grove League:
Kennedy 3, Rancho Alamitos 1--Ryan Bean scored two goals for Kennedy (7-2-2, 3-2).
Santiago 2, Garden Grove 0--Rafael Mosqueda and Timo Rodriguez scored the goals and goalkeeper Pablo Diaz made four saves for Santiago (7-2-1, 5-0).
In the Orange League:
Brea-Olinda 2, Western 1--With five minutes remaining in the game, Jesse Anderson scored the winning goal for Brea-Olinda (6-2-1, 1-0).
In the Sea View League:
Santa Margarita 5, Irvine 0--Seth George scored two goals to lead the county’s top-ranked team Santa Margarita (12-0-3, 2-0-2) over Irvine (3-6-4, 0-4).
Corona del Mar 2, Tustin 1--Bill Rimmer and junior forward Jason Boyce each scored for fifth-ranked Corona del Mar (14-0-3, 3-0-1).
