MUSICAL TAGS: Everything was perfect at Wednesday’s opening of the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, the guests say, until it was time to go home. . . . That’s when they found that the coat rack had collapsed, spilling dozens of expensive wraps plus umbrellas into a pile and mixing up most of the tag numbers. The solution, finally, to the mini-chaos that was created: The staff piled all the coats and umbrellas on tables in the lobby and let people fend for themselves. Among those left scrambling: former Miss America and TV actress Lee Meriwether.
