Time Warner Continues Debt Revamping: The media and entertainment conglomerate is offering $1 billion in lower-cost notes to replace more expensive debt and preferred stock. Proceeds are to be used to buy back or redeem preferred stock and outstanding debt, a move that would lower the company’s interest costs. In January, Time Warner disclosed a separate $1-billion offering in senior debentures.
