Man Found Dead After Standoff

A 32-year-old man who had grown despondent over family problems was found dead Tuesday night inside a West Hills house after a police standoff, Los Angeles police said.
The man, whose name was not released, barricaded himself about 5:30 p.m. in the house in the 6500 block of Bobbyboyar Avenue, Sgt. John O’Neal, said.
A police SWAT team surrounded the residence, but when officers entered the house about 9 p.m. they found the man dead, apparently from at least one self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
