Man Who Killed Family Gets 80-Year Prison Term

SEATTLE — An Idaho man who admitted killing his wife and two sons with a hatchet nearly 13 years ago and putting their bodies in a storage locker was sentenced Tuesday to 80 years in prison. King County Superior Court Judge Ann Ellington sentenced Mark James Bender Jr., 50, of Nampa, Ida., after denying pleas of leniency by Bender’s current wife.
