LANCASTER : Youth With Gun Threatens Student
- Share via
Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday were looking for a youth who used a gun to threaten a student at Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster, and arrested another youth later found in possession of what was believed to be the same gun.
The episode began shortly after noon when a youth held the semiautomatic pistol to the student’s head and threatened to kill him unless he paid unspecified debts, deputies said. The gun-wielding youth then drove away in a car without further incident.
But a short time later, campus security officers saw the same car on campus and detained the driver--another youth, not the alleged gunman--after they said they found a handgun under the driver’s seat and two bags of marijuana.
Authorities did not say whether the two suspects were students at the school.
