Foster came to Saddleback from Lamar (Colo.) Community College. He scored 20 points in his first game as a Gaucho in early November, but he has been battling a shooting slump most the season, according to Coach Bill Brummel.
But Foster broke out in a big way Friday when he made all eight three-pointers he attempted, including seven in the first half, as Saddleback beat Golden West, 97-86. He finished with a career-high 34 points.
His eight three-pointers tied a Saddleback single-game record set by Charles Lockard in 1990 against Fullerton. By making eight in a row, Foster is shooting 50% (41 of 82) on three-pointers this season and averaging 12 points.
Other top performers:
J.J. Ballesteros, who scored 37 points on 14 of 27 shooting from the field as Rancho Santiago split two games.
Jeff Porter, who made 21 of 37 shots from the field and scored 48 while Orange Coast lost twice.
