Pittsburgh’s 1st Woman Mayor, 75, to Leave Post

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Mayor Sophie Masloff said she was leaving government service, accepted a toast from employees and friends and took the rest of the day off.
Masloff, 75, the first woman to serve as Pittsburgh’s mayor, said Tuesday that she would not run in this year’s city election.
