WILL THEY LEARN? Richard DeHoyos’ conviction for the murder of a 9-year-old Santa Ana girl was overturned last year after some jurors discussed related newspaper articles, against the judge’s orders. Now this week, after two weeks of jury selection, Judge Everett Dickey ordered a new start because some potential jurors were overheard discussing the case in the hallway--against his orders. “Eleven days of work down the tube because people are people and it’s a human temptation to talk,” DeHoyos’ attorney, Milton Grimes, said Thursday.
