Defending Mexico

I would like to comment on Letters, Feb. 7, on the high cost of Mexico. Those who stay away from “tourist traps,” such as Cancun and Cabo, will still find bargains. In Cuernavaca, a B&B; can be found for $25 a day, per couple. Taxco, Oaxaca and Veracruz must have similar places. These cities also have a lot of real Mexico, although not much in the way of “gringo palaces.” But if you want American style living, stay home.
