The last of three Oxnard men separated while skiing in Wrightwood was found in good condition Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department helicopter crew located skier Brian Pennington shortly before 1 p.m. just north of Adler Gulch in the San Gabriel Canyon, Sgt. Robert Stoneman said. Pennington, 36, was in good condition despite having spent the night in 20-degree temperatures.
Pennington had become separated from two companions Saturday afternoon while downhill skiing at the Mountain High ski area. One of the men returned to the resort on his own, and Pennington’s other companion was rescued Saturday night after calling authorities from a mountaintop telephone.
