Countywide : Edison Is Largest Property Taxpayer

Ventura County received $244,434,776 in property taxes during the collection period ending last December, county officials have announced.
Southern California Edison, the county’s largest property taxpayer, topped the list at $4,148,400 for the first installment, said county Treasurer and Tax Collector Harold S. Pittman.
The second installment of property taxes must be received or postmarked by April 12. Pittman’s office will be open Saturday, April 10, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to answer taxpayer questions and receive payments. The total tax charge for property owners in Ventura County for fiscal year 1992-93 year is $477,742,012.

Rockwell International Corp.: 2,110,971
Pacific Bell: 1,986,627
Amgen Inc.: 1,718,781
Proctor-Gamble Paper Products: 1,579,062
LSR Limited Partnership: 1,544,583
Texaco Inc.: 1,498,020
Southern California Gas Co.: 1,428,489
Shell Oil Co.: 1,384,837
TOTAL: $27,482,227
