The UCLA women’s soccer club, charging the school with being in violation of Title IX, which requires equal athletic opportunities for men and women, has sent Chancellor Charles Young a letter, demanding that the sport be elevated to varsity status. The letter specifies that this is the final request and that if it is not honored, the club will sue the school.
