Light Treatment of Stalking Criticized

I was appalled by the advice of apartment owner representative Kevin Postema in your Feb. 28 Real Estate section.
Contrary to what Postema may think, an apartment owner owes a basic duty of due care to his tenants. The owner who assumes he can inflict a lunatic on his female tenants will be in for a rude--and well deserved--surprise when the victim of sexual harassment sues the rich creep who condoned and encouraged the harasser’s behavior.
If Postema is typical of the apartment owner’s mentality, it’s no wonder so many people dislike landlords.
