PALMDALE : Sheriff’s Deputy Kills Himself

A sheriff’s deputy who was the nephew of a former Los Angeles County sheriff committed suicide in Palmdale, authorities said Friday.
Roland Biscailuz, 47, shot himself at 7:30 p.m. Thursday while sitting in a parked car along Palmdale Boulevard, Deputy Irma Becerra said.
The deputy, who was off duty, died at Palmdale Hospital Medical Center.
He was the nephew of Eugene Biscailuz, the sheriff of Los Angeles County from 1932 to 1958, Becerra said.
Roland Biscailuz, a 24-year veteran of the department, lived in Palmdale and was assigned to the sheriff’s station in Lennox. He is survived by his wife.
