BELL : 3 School Board Hopefuls in Forum

There will be a forum Tuesday for candidates seeking the new District 2 seat on the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education.
The candidates are Victoria M. Castro, principal of Belvedere Junior High School in Boyle Heights, Southeast-area schools activist Willene Cooper, and former Board of Education member Larry Gonzalez.
If no candidate wins more than 50% of the vote in the April 20 election, the top two finishers will be in a runoff June 8.
Tuesday’s forum will begin at 7 p.m. at the Bell Community Center, 6250 Pine Ave. Information: (213) 560-8755.
