MACARTHUR PARK : Coalition to Host Mayoral Forum

A coalition of neighborhood groups will sponsor a forum for the leading candidates for mayor Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Park Plaza Hotel, 637 S. Parkview St.
The candidates expected to attend are City Council members Michael Woo, Nate Holden and Joel Wachs, businessman Richard Riordan, attorney Stan Sanders, businessman Nick Patsaouras and Assemblyman Richard Katz, said organizer Paul Gamberg.
The sponsoring coalition includes the Westlake Task Force, Upper Rampart Heights Neighborhood Assn., Echo Park Homeowners and Renters Assn., Echo Park Community Coordinating Council, Silver Lake Improvement Assn. and Pico-Union Improvement Assn.
Ruben Martinez, news editor of LA Weekly and one of the hosts of KCET-TV Channel 28’s “Life and Times,” will serve as moderator.
Free child care will be provided as well as Spanish and Korean translations.
