Publisher Named: David Allen Shaw has been appointed California group publisher of Advanstar, a Cleveland-based publisher of 58 trade magazines.
The six magazines in the California group, which is based in Santa Ana, are Video Store Magazine, for video retailers; Dealernews Magazine, for motorcycle retailers; American Big Twin Dealer, for Harley Davidson fans; CADalyst, for computer-assisted design engineers; InfoText, for the 900-number industry; and Response TV, for followers of interactive television and infomercials.
The staffs of CADalyst, InfoText and Response TV are in satellite offices in Capistrano Beach and Eugene, Ore.
Shaw was previously publishing director of Video Store Magazine, Dealernews Magazine and American Big Twin Dealer.
