Cal’s Granger Gets Strikeout No. 1,500

Former Valencia High softball pitcher Michele Granger posted her 1,500th strikeout during California’s 1-0 nonconference loss to Cal Poly Pomona Friday at Pomona.
Granger, the NCAA’s all-time strikeout leader, struck out Karie Langelier in the sixth inning for No. 1,500.
Granger (22-9) gave up four hits and an unearned run but took the loss for ninth-ranked Cal (29-9).
