PERSECUTED? It wasn’t that the people at the Christian Piecemakers Country Store on Adams Avenue in Costa Mesa minded being featured in People magazine this week. What bothered them was that they were included in a story under the header, “It’s not just Waco. Cults ruled by paranoia flourish all over America.” . . . Members of the sect are seething. Says one angry store worker: “We are not a cult. We don’t deserve to be connected with that bunch in Waco.”
