In a sport that is dominated by pitchers, she was 20 for 48 (.417) and drove in 19 runs for Cypress (37-14), which has a one-game lead in the Orange Empire Conference race. Among her 20 hits were two home runs, two triples and two doubles.
Not a bad week considering how much she had been struggling this season. Her outburst last week raised her average 50 points to .263. She has three home runs, a double, five triples and 24 RBIs this season.
