The daughter of Sen. Strom Thurmond (R-S.C.) died from injuries sustained when a car struck her as she was crossing a street in Columbia, S.C. Nancy Moore Thurmond, 22, suffered massive head injuries, internal bleeding and internal injuries, said Chris Simpson, a family spokesman. Corrinne Koenig, 35, was arrested and charged with felony drunk driving in connection with the case, police said.
